Ingredients
- Basmati or Sona Masoori Rice 1 cup
- Fresh Methi leaves 2 fistful
- Chopped onion 1 big or 2 small
- Chopped Carrot 1
- Water 2 cups .
For Seasoning :
- Oil / Ghee 2 to 3 tbsp
- Cumin Seeds 1/2 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste ( Optional ) 1/4 tsp.
- Slit green chilli -1
Masala Powders :
- Garam Masala 1 tsp
- Kitchen King Masala 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
- Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp.
Method :
- In a pressure cooker heat oil add jeera once they splutter add slit green chillies & onions, fry it till raw smell goes off.
- Now add chopped methi leaves & fry it till u get nice aroma.
- Add in chopped carrot & all powders one by one & mix it well.
- Add washed drained water n fry it for a minute or so.
- Add salt & water & let it come to boil.
- Simmer the flame & pressure cook it for 2 whistles.
- Allow the pressure to release.
Serve hot with raita of your choice :)
